Welcome to Livingston Village Primary School
NOTICE: Please accept our apologies for any disruption to the website over the past month whilst the site has been upgraded. Normal service has now been resumed and more updates will be coming on a regular basis soon due to the new site upgrades.
Livingston Village Primary School is situated in the heart of the village and since opening in 2001 it has become the centre of community life. There is a lively and well used community wing within the school which has developed close links with the school.
We are very proud of our school and our achievements:
second Green flag for Eco school,
Gold road Safety Charter,
two Gold awards for Enterprise and
a number of improvements to our school grounds.
The school was inspected in November 2004 and a copy of the report can be read on www.hmie.gov.uk.
Livingston Village Primary is a non-denominational school where children from any religious faith may be enrolled. The capacity of the primary school is 198 pupils.
The school is a fairly new building with three areas, one housing Nursery and Wraparound, one housings pupils from Primary 1 – 3 and the other housing pupils of Primary 4 – 7. All class bases are carpeted with vinyl floored areas where practical activities can take place.
Children at all ages have use of the Information Technology, reference library, General Purpose areas and of the school hall for dining, PE and Assemblies. There is a grass sports field adjoining the school and there are grassed and hard play areas for the children’s recreational use.
The school has a nursery unit staffed by a Nursery Teacher and Nursery Nurses. Morning sessions and afternoon sessions are each attended by between 30 and 50 pre-school children.
